Synopsis[]
It's Doug's high school football reunion and he boasts about his famous block. But everyone besides him remembers his now handicapped ex-team mate (Pat Finn) making the block. Doug tries to find proof on some old tapes.
Storyline[]
Doug invites his old high school championship football team to his house to have a party. Doug tells Carrie that he got a huge block to set up the winning touchdown. While talking to a reporter about how they won the game, the team remembers Doug's teammate Tom Busterman, who is confined to a wheelchair, making the block. Doug gets the game tapes from the attic, and has the team watch the play. Doug was given Busterman's jersey by mistake that game, and that's why they got the players mixed up. Doug was the real hero.
Did You Know?[]
Trivia[]
- In the scene where Doug is in the attic looking for a tape of "the big game" there is a ladder leaning against the inside left wall of the attic. The latter is an a frame wooden ladder but it is collapsed against the wall. In episode 2-8 Dire Strayts Doug gets stuck trying to get into the attic and he is in the middle of the closet. Doug would have needed the ladder set up in the middle of the closet to gain access to the attic, not collapsed on the left wall. Presumably after their experience in episode 2-8 they made adjustments to the loft entry to grant easier access.
Goofs[]
- Factual errors
Doug's team beats Power Memorial in the championship game. However, Power Memorial was a basketball powerhouse and did not have a football team.
