Brace Yourself was the 6th episode of Season 9 of The King of Queens, also the 200th overall series episode. Co-written by David Bickel and Chris Downey, the episode, which was directed by Rob Schiller, originally aired on CBS-TV on January 3, 2007.
Synopsis[]
An unflattering picture by Major prompts Arthur to ask Doug and Carrie for braces. Meanwhile, Kelly hires an out-of-work Spence to help out around the house.
Storyline[]
Major's drawing of Arthur makes him self-conscious to the point of asking Doug and Carrie for braces for his teeth. Doug and Carrie are reluctant to say yes. Meanwhile, Spence loses his job in the subway so Kelly hires him to help out around their house.

- When Spence is serving dinner to Deacon and Kelly, Danny shows up and argues with Spence. After Kelly and Deacon leave the table, there is a tight shot of Spence clearing their dishes from the table and he puts them on the kitchen pass through. The shot changes and the dishes are no longer on the pass thru and he is clearing them from the table a second time.
- Spence's Appletini jumps from his hand to sitting on the table between shots.
