Synopsis[]

Doug, Carrie and Arthur are thinking about the first Thanksgiving they (and Arthur's second wife Lily) spend together.

Storyline[]

After a great Thanksgiving, Doug and Carrie try to recall their first Thanksgiving together and who said, "I Love You" first. They consult Arthur, who quickly recalls some other Thanksgivings and finally recalls 1993 when he was having a fight with his new wife, Lily (Florence Henderson), as Doug was coming over to meet the family.

Did You Know?[]

Trivia[]

  • Arthur predicts that in the future machines will exist that deliver packages directly to your door. This was laughable then, but is now a potential reality with Amazon drone delivery.

Goofs[]

Continuity
  • After Doug takes the turkey from the refrigerator, he pushes the refrigerator door, but it remains wide open. Carrie enters to chastise Doug, and the door opens and closes between shots.
Factual errors

• Miscellaneous Doug Heffernan tries to use the bathroom. but can't because Arthur Spooner is in the bathroom eating a turkey leg in the bathroom at the same time as Doug tries to urinate. once again Doug walks out of the bathroom without washing his hands typical Doug Heffernan ( see season 3 episode 2 here ) Arthur Spooner's dining room where he and his wife eat. is really really really close to the bathroom

  • The flashback to Doug and Carrie's first Thanksgiving was clearly filmed in either spring or summer rather than November. There are plenty of outdoor shots where the grass is green and the trees are full of leaves instead of bare as they should be that time of year.
