Doug less (Part 2) was the second episode of Season 6 ofThe King of Queens, also the 127th overall episode in the series; it was also the concluding episode of a season opening two-part story. Written by Ilana Wernick, the episode, which was directed by Rob Schiller, was first aired on CBS-TV on October 1, 2003.


Synopsis[]

Conclusion of two-part story. Doug and Carrie end up lost in the woodland and go their separate ways, only to reunite at the end.

Storyline[]

Doug and Carrie try to get over an argument they've been having, but the matters are only made worse. After Doug loses some major weight, he surprises Carrie with a romantic weekend away at a resort, which he thought wasthe same vacation spot he did 10 years ago, only, as he later recalls, it wasn't Carrie he took there. So now Carrie is upset with Doug, and to add on to that they get lost in the woods and can't find their way back to their hotel. Meanwhile, Deacon finds Spence and Danny in bed together. Arthur decides he is in an emergency situation.

  • Revealing mistake... When they sitting on the log after getting stranded on the island you can see the roof of a house.
Spoilers
  1. Once again (as posted in "Doug Less, part I) Arthur (to-the-rescue) drives past a sign Route 28 North (California) indicating that most, if not all exterior shots took place in & around LAKE TAHOE, CA/ NV. Carrie also walks past signage indicating Route 42.
  2. After doing further research, the signage for state route 28 (black lettering on a white background) indicates that they are filming on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, which also borders California.

Update: According to iMdb, this episode was filmed at Silver Resort on June Lake, Californis (Eastern Sierras in Mono County) and Tamarack Lodge on Twin Lakes in Mammoth Mountain also in Mono County.
