King Pong was the third episode of Season 6 of The King of Queens, also the 128th overall episode in the series. Written by Tony Sheehan, the episode, which was directed by Rob Schiller, first aired on CBS-TV on October 8, 2003.

Synopsis[]

Doug becomes crazed with winning when Arthur buys a new ping pong table.

Storyline[]

When Arthur handily beats Doug in several games of ping-pong, Doug decides to test his skills on Carrie, but is humiliated when he loses once again. In a desperate attempt to keep his ego intact, he asks Arthur to train him so that he can beat his wife. Meanwhile, Spence's girlfriend, Denise, gets promoted to waitress at the bowling alley, but Spence becomes jealous of the flirting she must do to get tips.

Continuity
  • At the beginning of this episode, Arthur is playing ping pong with Doug in the garage. The position of the garage door behind Arthur keeps changing between shots.
  • While Arthur and Doug are playing ping pong in the garage the first time, the spare tire beside the door under the window appears and disappears.
Crew or equipment visible
  • After Carrie decrees a night of sex and George Foreman, the camera angle changes. In the next shot, the center window over the bed is being pushed shut by a crew member. Clearly it had been opened for the previous camera shot.
