Lush Life was the 20th episode of Season 4 of The King of Queens, the 95th overall episode of the series. Written by Tony Sheehan, the episode, directed by James Widdoes, was first aired on CBS-TV on April 8, 2002.
Synopsis[]
When Carrie's new afterwork routine of apple martinis—along with an accompanying much more relaxed attitude—come to an abrupt end, Doug and Arthur join forces to keep her drunk, a course of action Lou doesn't approve of.
Storyline[]
Carrie starts joining a colleague for after-work cocktails and Doug realizes she's less abrasive when she returns home. When Carrie has a row with her co-worker, Doug and Arthur hatch up a plot to conspire to keep her a little tipsy---until neighbor Lou Ferrigno spills the beans to Carrie, and she becomes angrier than ever!!

- Continuity
- After Deacon exhales a big puff of cigar smoke, the air clears instantly.
- When the doorbell rings Carrie answers the door and you can see Deacon through the clear glass at the top of the door, Spence and Danny are there also when the door opens. Carrie won't let them in and shuts the door. The shot changes to the outside and the glass at top of the door is no longer clear.
- As Carrie is telling the gang to put out the cigars, you can see a jar next to Deacon's right arm. In the next shot there is a can along with the jar.
- Errors in geography
- When Doug and Carrie go ice skating, an All Year Figure Skating Club banner can be seen on the wall. All Year FSC is based solely out of Southern California.
