Lyin' Hearted was the seventh episode of Season 4 of The King of Queens, also the 82nd overall episode in the series. Written by Ilana Wernick, the episode, which was directed by Rob Schiller, was first aired on CBS-TV on November 5, 2001.
Synopsis[]
While Arthur is in the hospital, Carrie starts doubting that she still loves her father. After looking in his room and finding a letter sent by Florida State University accepting her onto a course, It is revealed that Arthur hid this for his own selfish reasons. Meanwhile, Arthur is worried that he might get a circumcision because he is in a Jewish hospital.
Storyline[]
As Arthur prepares to undergo heart surgery, he asks Carrie and Doug to bring him his sleep mask, and she makes some interesting discoveries while looking for it. Meanwhile, Doug makes friends with a quirky stranger in the hospital and soon regrets it.

- Note: Patton Oswalt (Spence), Gary Valentine (Danny) and Victor Williams (Deacon) all are credited, but do not appear in the episode.
- While in the hospital before his surgery Arthur remarks about living in a windowless basement. In the very next scene Doug and Carrie are in the basement and Doug removes a box from the closet. A window can be screen at the bottom of the stairs.

- Indirectly references Season 8 Married with Children episode "A Little Off the Top." That episode involved Al Bundy getting an accidental circumcision instead of a treatment for a back injury.
