Nadia Dajani, born (December 26, 1965), appears as Sophia Spooner, Carrie Heffernan's late mother, in the Season 1 finale episode "Maybe, Baby".
Career[]
Dajani has appeared in a variety of television episodes on such shows as Sex and the City ("Critical Condition")[1] and its prequel The Carrie Diaries (where she played a completely different). She is also known for her roles in Happy Accidents, Flirting With Disaster, Ned and Stacey, and Sidewalks of New York. ABC-TV series Sports Night creator Aaron Sorkin cast her again in his subsequent series The West Wing.
Personal life[]
Dajani is an avid baseball fan[2] and has played in several Celebrity/Legends games for Major League Baseball at the All Star Game.
She has a baseball comedy web series titled Caught Off Base with Nadia.[1] Her best friend is Beastie Boys' Adam Horovitz (King Ad-Rock), the two met at P.S. 41 elementary school.
