Synopsis[]
Doug and Carrie want to conceive, but receive another negative pregnancy result. When it is revealed that Carrie only has one working ovary, they find they must get started soon; however, their efforts are hindered when Doug's parents visit.
Storyline[]
It's Christmas and Carrie gets another negative pregnancy test. So Doug and her go to a fertility doctor and they find out the reason they are having trouble is because Carrie only has one ovary working. The doctor also tells them that they have a few fertile days coming so they should get going. The only problem is Doug's parents are coming to visit for the holiday.
Did You Know?[]
- Factual errors
- There are two scenes that show the outside of the house in the daytime (one scene is December and the final scene is in February) with snow on the roof and bushes. The issue is that the trees are full of leaves and should be barren at that time of year.
Continuity Errors[]
- At the beginning of the episode, Arthur gets upset about a nice plate of cheese being reserved for when Doug's parents arrive and Carrie won't let him have "a spoonful of soft cheese. But just a few episodes prior, Ticker Treat (season 4, episode 6), Doug rants about a list of things that Arthur has banned, including soft cheeses.
- At the end of the episode, the clock reads 8:25, switches to 8:26, and presumably a few more minutes pass during the dialogue. When the scene ends, the clock reads 8:25 again.
