Paternal Affairs was the fifth episode of Season 1 of The King of Queens. Written by Jeff Sussman and dircted by Brian K. Roberts, it originally aired on CBS-TV on October 19, 1998.
Synopsis[]
Arthur starts dating Doug's Aunt Sheila (Brenda Vaccaro), which Doug hates. But Doug then learns that Sheila is cheating on Arthur. Meanwhile Spence has a crush on Sara and she asks him to take pictures of her for her Resume.
Storyline[]
Doug and Carrie throw a wedding anniversary party for themselves. Doug invites his aunt Sheila, and finds out that his aunt and uncle are having problems. When Arthur meets Doug's aunt, he falls for her. Can Doug stop their relationship, or let it be.

- This is the first time that Aunt Sheila has been seen.
- In the opening kitchen scene when Carrie says "...c'mon honey I have to get this ready people will be here soon and it's already 20 of..." the camera pulls back and on the right hand of the screen you can see them actually moving the set back in to place. Specifically you see the wall and the end top kitchen cabinets move.
