Synopsis[]

Doug and Carrie have to pay $12,000 for the mold problem and Doug reluctantly asks his father for financial support.

Storyline[]

The mold problem in the Heffernan household grows out of control because Doug forgot to tell Carrie about the "minor" detail about their house, which they purchased six years earlier. Carrie finds out that to fix the problem it will cost them about $12,000! Doug, now with his tail between his legs, goes to his father Joe (Dakin Matthews) to ask for the money, but hits a wall when he wants to know why he and Carrie don't have it in the bank. Arthur, in trying to help, tries to devise a plan to get the money needed by borrowing from Veronica, Spence's mom (Anne Meara).
