Synopsis[]
Doug's bowling team bowls just for fun and is financially supported by the local ale house, but now they threaten to no longer support them if they continue to be on a constant losing streak. Doug soon realizes Carrie is the problem so he removes her from the team making for an awkward household.
Storyline[]
Doug, Carrie, Deacon, Spence, and Richie all are on Cooper's bowling team. Their team is mediocre. The new manager of Coopers (Robert Klein) tells Doug that he will drop the team unless they start to win some games. Doug knows that Carrie, the team's worst player, must be dropped in order to win. Now Doug has to decide what is more important: His wife or the game.

Goofs[]
- Factual errors
Carrie gets kicked off the team because she's a poor bowler. However, that's not how bowling leagues work. Bowlers are given a handicap based on their average score. Poor bowlers, like Carrie, get bigger handicaps so that each team is starting equally. Winning or losing depends only on whether a given team bowls better than their average on a given night. The only way Carrie could truly hurt the team would be if she started out strong and then got consistently worse as the season progressed, so that she'd always be bowling worse than her average.
