Swim Neighbors was the 22nd episode of Season 3 of The King of Queens, also the 72nd overall episode of the series. Co-written by David Bickel and Ilana Wernick, the episode, directed by Henry Chan, was first aired on CBS-TV on May 7, 2001.
Synopsis[]
A hurricane destroys the backyards of the Heffernans and the Sackskys (Bryan Cranston and Dee Dee Rescher). When Carrie becomes cool with their idea of a combined backyard, they retaliate by installing ground pool.
Storyline[]
After a big storm Doug and Carrie catch their annoying neighbors in their backyard cleaning up the after math of the storm. They than give the idea to Doug and Carrie that they should tear down the wall dividing them and make it on big backyard. After the Heffernans tell them no on the idea the neighbors get a pool that disrupts there's backyard privacy. Carrie is wanting to fight them on it, but Doug is not sure where he stands.

- Dorothy Sacksky (Dee Dee Rescher) says to Carrie that "she feels like Erin Brockovich", referring the 2000 film whch starred Julia Roberts, who's the younger sister of Eric Roberts, who guest stars earlier in Season 3 as Mr. Strohmeyer in the episode "Paint Misbehavin'" (#14).

- Continuity
- When they show the front of Doug and Carrie's house, there is an air conditioner in the bedroom window, yet when Doug is sweating, they only open a window instead of using the A/C.
- Plot holes
- Tim and Dorothy Sacksky return inexplicably as the Heffernan's next door neighbors even though they had quickly moved at the end of Season 2, in the episode "Soft Touch" (episode #22), after ripping Doug off with a pyramid scheme.
- Miscellaneous
- When Carrie opens the blinds on the side window Tim appears on the pool's slide. However, the pool is in the backyard not the side of the house.
