Tube Stakes is the fifth episode of Season 2 of The King of Queens, also the 29th overall series episode. Written by Ilana Wernick, the episode, which was directed by Rob Schiller, originally aired on CBS-TV on October 18, 1999.

Synopsis[]

Doug gets very upset with Carrie after he sees that his big screen TV is stolen after Carrie left the garage door open.

Storyline[]

Carrie leaves the garage door open at night. The following morning, Doug enters the garage to find that his television has been stolen. In an effort to make up, she buys Doug a new TV

  • When Carrie comes into the garage to drive off in the car, she clearly closes the door behind her. After Doug gets up a few seconds later, the same door can be seen randomly swinging open for no reason.

Goofs[]

Continuity
  • During the opening scene when Carrie is going through her night stand drawer, she is holding a magazine and in a blink she is filing her nails.
  • When Doug goes to the garage to watch TV, he is carrying a bowl of cereal. When he notices the TV is missing he storms out of the garage still carrying the bowl. In the next shot the bowl is sitting on the table in the garage.
Factual errors
  • Arthur receives a copy of South of the Border. However, when Arthur puts on the record 'Tijuana Taxi' plays which is from another Herb Alpert album, Going Places.
