Synopsis[]
When it turns out that Doug's new dentist once had a crush on Carrie, Doug thinks he hurts him on purpose.
Storyline[]
Doug has a bad tooth and decides to go to Deacon's dentist. But when Doug finds out that Carrie and the dentist know each other, he feels that the Dr. is hurting Doug on purpose out of jealousy. When Deacon wins a poker game over Arthur and Arthur doesn't have the money he promised him, Arthur tells him that he will give his son free piano lessons. The only problem is that Arthur doesn't know how to play the piano.
Did You Know?[]
Trivia[]
- Doug's dentist is in the Weithorn Medical Center. The building's name is very likely an inside joke since one of the show's creators is Michael J. Weithorn.
Goofs[]
- Plot holes
- The Heffernans have a piano, which is central to the plot of this episode, yet no one seems to ever play the piano.
- Arthur becomes a piano teacher to Deacon's child, but Arthur can't play the piano in this episode. However, in a much earlier episode we see Arthur playing the piano with skill.
- Errors in geography
- Doug and Carrie bump into each other as they walk through the neighborhood in the opening scene. However the neighborhood that they are walking through is in Brooklyn as the background shot has the view of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Of course they could both be walking around Brooklyn but that would be quite the coincidence to bump into each other at that spot.
